Rúben Cordeiro is a physiotherapist at London City Physiotherapy specialising in musculoskeletal conditions, sports injury rehabilitation and manual therapy. With postgraduate training in osteopathic techniques, acupuncture and dry needling, he takes an individualised approach to helping patients improve movement and recover from injury.
Rúben graduated from CESPU in Portugal in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He has since developed clinical experience across sports, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy, working with patients experiencing a range of injuries and movement-related conditions.
In 2016, he completed a Master’s degree in Osteopathy, specialising in Techniques for the Locomotor System, at the Madrid School of Osteopathy. This furthered his knowledge of hands-on treatment techniques and their role in supporting physical recovery.
His clinical approach combines manual therapy with proprioceptive stretching and strengthening exercises. By considering the underlying factors contributing to an injury, Rúben aims to improve movement, support lasting recovery and reduce the likelihood of recurring problems.
Alongside his formal qualifications, he has undertaken postgraduate training in Sports Osteopathy, trigger point therapy, dry needling, acupuncture and Kinesio taping. He uses this knowledge to inform his treatment decisions according to each patient’s individual needs and rehabilitation goals.
Rúben has experience in sports, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy, supporting patients with pain, injuries and movement limitations. His clinical background helps him assess individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans to improve physical function.
Following his postgraduate training in osteopathy, Rúben developed a strong interest in manual therapy and hands-on treatment techniques. He incorporates these approaches into his clinical practice where appropriate, alongside exercises designed to improve mobility and strength.
Rúben considers the factors that may contribute to an injury, rather than focusing solely on the affected area. By combining manual treatment with proprioceptive stretching and strengthening exercises, he aims to support recovery, restore movement and reduce the risk of recurring problems.
Rúben Cordeiro practises at London City Physiotherapy and Canary Wharf, offering personalised care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and movement-related concerns. Patients can access his physiotherapy services at either clinic, depending on their location and appointment availability.
