Ben is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, spinal care, and sports medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (B.App.Sci. Physiotherapy) from the University of South Australia and is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (MHPC). Ben has also completed multiple postgraduate qualifications, including Postgraduate Diplomas in Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, and MDT (McKenzie Therapy). In addition, he is a registered physiotherapy acupuncturist.
Ben began his physiotherapy career in Australia before establishing and running a successful private practice in New Zealand for over 15 years, where he also served as physiotherapist for a local rugby league club. During this period, he studied under the late Mr. Robin McKenzie, the founder of the McKenzie Method (Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy), which profoundly shaped his approach to spinal and musculoskeletal care.
In 2005, Ben moved to the UK, where he worked in a gym-based clinic, refining his skills in exercise-based rehabilitation and collaborating with leading London surgeons to optimise post-surgical recovery and sports injury management. His approach integrates traditional physiotherapy with strength and conditioning techniques to help athletes and active individuals return to peak performance.
Ben’s professional journey also took him to Sydney in 2010, where he worked alongside renowned physiotherapist Josephine Key, learning advanced methods for treating movement dysfunctions. In 2013, he returned to London to take up a role as a spinal specialist in a physiotherapy specialisation clinic. Here, he expanded his expertise into Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) and Anatomy in Motion (AiM) — innovative therapies that identify and correct the root causes of musculoskeletal imbalances rather than just treating symptoms.
He combines these advanced techniques with dry needling, manual therapy, and muscle activation approaches to treat a wide range of conditions, including chronic back and neck pain, shoulder tendinitis, Achilles tendinitis, recurrent groin and hamstring strains, anterior knee pain, and shin splints. His holistic treatment philosophy focuses on identifying underlying dysfunctions and restoring natural movement patterns for long-term recovery and performance.
Fluent in both English and Chinese, Ben brings a global perspective and cultural sensitivity to his practice. Outside of work, he enjoys learning languages, travelling, and exploring the arts.
