Clare completed her Physiotherapy undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool, before gaining a Masters degree, specialising in Pain and neuroscience from Kings College, London, in 2005.
Before working in the private sector, Clare worked at the Royal Hospital, Liverpool, Guys Hospital, London, and Chelsea and Westminster NHS trust.
Knowing the value of injury prevention as well as cure, Clare went on to train with the APPI to complete the Pilates instructors courses, and has many years’ experience teaching mat based Pilates, in her role as a Physiotherapist, both for small groups and individuals, noting particular success with complex lower back pain.
A keen runner and triathlete, Clare has a particular interest in endurance athletes and multi-day eventers, with clients who run Marathons all over the world, including Marathon des Sables, Coastal challengers and trail runs. With the rise of the popularity of obstacle events, such as Tough Mudder, you’re in good hands should this be your goal.
Clare treats all manner of musculoskeletal injury, from neck and back pain, hip and knee problems, foot pain and gait analysis and all post-surgical rehabilitation. She has a good working relationship with surgical consultants and will always liaise where appropriate regarding protocols and outcomes.
Clare works at our City of London Physiotherapy clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays every week with both early and late availability.
