About Anthony (Bob) Kelly

Anthony “Bob” Kelly is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 30 years of clinical practice, specialising in spinal rehabilitation, sports injuries, and post-surgical recovery. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (Grad. Dip. Phys) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (MHCPC) as well as being a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP). He is also affiliated with The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), through which he integrates Clinical Pilates into his rehabilitation methods.

Bob graduated from Guy’s Hospital School of Physiotherapy in 1992 and has since built an extensive career working in some of London’s most respected teaching hospitals, including Charing Cross Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. His clinical expertise has evolved through years of treating complex musculoskeletal and neurological cases, focusing particularly on back and neck disorders and their functional rehabilitation.

He has developed specialist skills in Clinical Pilates, which he uses as a core part of his approach to restoring spinal stability, improving posture, and enhancing movement efficiency. Bob also has significant experience working with athletes at all levels — from commuter cyclists and amateur runners to triathletes and competitive sports professionals. His in-depth understanding of biomechanics and injury prevention allows him to tailor exercise and rehabilitation programs to meet each individual’s physical demands and performance goals.

Over the past two decades, Bob has built strong professional relationships with several leading orthopaedic surgeons in London, particularly those specialising in lower limb (hip, knee, ankle) surgery. This collaboration has made him an expert in pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, ensuring patients recover mobility, strength, and confidence effectively.

Known for his thorough, patient-centred approach, Bob takes time to understand each patient’s unique condition and lifestyle in order to deliver personalised treatment plans. His therapy philosophy combines manual techniques, exercise-based rehabilitation, and Clinical Pilates, promoting long-term recovery, injury prevention, and optimal physical health.
